Fingal's Cave, the Poems of Ossian, and Celtic Christianity
Published in Hardcover by Continuum Pub Group (May, 1999)
Authors: Paul Marshall Allen and Joan Deris Allen
Average review score:

fascinating
Rudolf Steiner described Fingal's Cave as "a temple built by the spirits of nature". Anyone wanting to understand Celtic Christianity should read this book, and anyone visiting Scotland should visit this sacred site, only 5 miles from Iona. This site has had a profound influence on many artists and writers, and the Poems of Ossian are one of the great treasures of spiritual literature. Read, learn and enjoy.

First Easter

Authors: Peter Marshall and Catherine Marshall
Average review score:

I was moved to tears.
This book is a well written, and moving account of the final week of Jesus. You feel as though you are walking along with Him during that time. You can feel the pain, rejection, and triumph of the crucifixion and resurrection. This is a life changing book. I was literally moved to tears the first time that I read this book.

Fundamental analysis
If you need to read about Puerto Rico or are doing research, this should be your first stop. This book is the most comprehensive and well documented book ever written on the legal situation of Puerto Rico. Anybody who has anything to do with the island needs to read this book first.

Fourier Transforms in NMR, Optical, and Mass Spectrometry
Published in Hardcover by Elsevier Health Sciences (01 December, 1989)
Authors: Alan G. Marshall and Francis R. Verdun
Average review score:

Fourier transforms and spectroscopy
This book applies the theory of Fourier transforms to their use in spectroscopy, based on using graphical examples to illustrate the mathematical properties discussed. It is useful for areas of spectroscopy other than those in the titles, since the concepts are applicable to many FT methods of data acquisition. Especially recommended for beginners trying to learn about the implications of FT techniques in their research.

Fox and His Friends

Classic James Marshall
If you have a child between 3 and 8, you should buy this book. The late, great James Marshall (Edward was a pseudonym) had the rare ability to tell a story using easy-to-read words, but still with genuinely surprising and humorous twists. This book's ending is a brilliant twist, which I will not spoil here.

If you don't have a child the right age, you should buy this anyway, but you may have to think of an excuse.

This book ranks with Marshall's best, which also include the sublime "Three By the Sea," as well as the better-known "Miss Nelson" and "George & Martha" books.

A note to the publisher: You really should keep James Marshall's better books available in hardcover library editions. This guy's best works are classics, and they'll continue to sell for at least another century.

Fox's Mom gave Fox one of those Looks...
That basically sums up all these books. They are absolute classics! I love everything about every single one of these books- I read them growing up and nearly cried as a teenager when they removed them from my local library. No matter what age you are you can enjoy these fantastic books. James Marshall has turned out nothing but classic, wonderful and fun books. If you've never read them, you're missing out on your childhood, and that goes for his George and Martha books too! Get one TODAY!

I never tired of reading the Fox stories with my sons. They're a great laugh, even for parents. So many easy-to-reads are a bit boring, but these are inventive.

Incredible Insight and Organization
I'm an avid reader and have read many, many books, mostly doctrinal. I'd never heard of Tom Marshall until my family and I were serving as missionaries to the former USSR. I picked it up at a seminar we attended in Helsinki, Finland, and I'm sure glad I did.

Tom Marshall's book stands out as one which brings the true message of freedom in Christ to a real-world application level. He provides a fascinating explanation of Romans without being a commentary on Romans.

Moreover, his organization of the book is well thought out and illustrated, rather than being a bunch of scattered thoughts. While the price is high, the book's published in New Zealand, so shipping takes its toll. Even if it were twice the cost, though, it would be worth it. This is hands down one of the best books I've ever read and deserves a place in everyone's library.

From a World of Madness to a World of Sanity: Guides for Action

A "Must" for Home Business Owner and Networkers
I had only started with the book when I started recommending to my friends and family, but even with just starting to go though it, I felt this was a book I wanted to recommend.

I have now finished the book and I wanted to give you a short review and recommend that you go and purchase a copy.

This book is non-fiction and consists of nine chapters. It makes literal use of the Buddhism and Shambhala philosophies and teachings.

Basically the Shambhala teaching is that basic human nature can help solve personal problems and even the world's problems! How to wake up and appreciate every moment of our lives. How difficulties and obstacles do not have to defeat us.

It has been a long time since I read a book that has impacted me like this. Probably since I was in High School! It is very thought provoking and I have found that my mindset must be almost all in networking, every chapter I read reminded me of my philosophies that I have for my business.

This is not a book that you should just sit down, read and put on the shelf. This is a book that I will be using as a daily part of my personal growth for probably the rest of the year.

At the end of every chapter are references and footnotes and most of these lead to more information on the web.
You know how important I think personal growth is for you to achieve success in your business. This is a book I recommend you to go and purchase and to use for your own personal growth reading. This one book is basically all you will need for a year if you use the book for further study.

It is not that the book will take a year to read, for it is less then 200 pages. But it is what I am going to use for my "study" book by further digging into depth by using the footnotes and reference pages.

I am excited about this! As I mentioned, I do a lot of reading, but this book MADE me want to go beyond just reading it. I am going to take each chapter now that I have read the book, and study the areas I want to explore even further.

I love so many parts of this book, but I will leave you with the introduction to Chapter 3 - Clear Communication.

"The point is you have to work. And that's why the propaganda system is so successful. Very few people are going to have the time or the energy or the commitment to carry out the constant battle that's required to get outside of the MacNeil/Lehrer or Dan Rather or somebody like that. The easy thing to do you know - you come home from work, you're tired, you've had a busy day, you're not going to spend the evening carrying on a research project, so you turn on the tube and say its probably right, or you look at the headlines in the paper and then you watch the sports or something. That's basically the way the system of indoctrination works. Sure the other stuff is there, but you're going to have to work to find it."*
